How To Use Mobile Phone Camera Flash As Flashlight

Android smartphones comes with huge amounts of great features and applications. But the worth discussing about Android cell phones is the Camera application, its flashlight, and using it for a devoted spotlight in times of requirement. Many of the cell phone holders use this feature. It is greatly easy to setup, and Samsung even has a devoted Widget for this purpose. In simply a couple of taps you can have a single click tourchlight right on your Android smartphone.

Flashlight is very useful for finding your keys under the sofa in a dark room, or even outdoors you require a light. Most new Samsung Galaxy devices have a simple switch to enable this in seconds, instead of starting the Camera and turning it on.

It's likewise much better to use the flash instead of increasing screen brightness and using it, as the display light will drain the cellphone battery. Using the productive Camera LED works very good, and here's the method by which you can enable it.

How To Start Flashlight?

To use your cell phone as a flashlight, you simply need to add a widget to homescreen. Widgets act as alternate way or a single click starter to quickly start applications or other features on our Android smartphones from the homescreen, instead of launching the application in a application tray.

Step 1 - Head into the Application Tray by tapping the square or cirle button on the bottom of the screen which starts the application tray. Design of this button may be different in different devices.

Step 2 - Select the tab close to the upper left named Widgets, and swipe the screen through until you find the widget Assistive Light as shown in the image. The widget could look slightly different in some smartphones.

Step 3 - Just find and long-press the Assistive Light Widget from the widget section and slide it to the homescreen. This will include large button on the homescreen. Just tap this new button and immediately a fantastic flashlight will turn on regardless of what the situation is.

Flashlight Applications On Google Play Store

There's huge amounts of extra choices available on the Google Play Store that offer slightly different and new features like fast shut off clocks so you won't empty your battery, and SOS flash for emergency. My most loved is application on Google Play Store is Tiny Flashlight + LED which is available for free. When you add this widget (same guidelines as above) you'll get huge amounts of other useful options. Also it is the more simpler and prettier than the big square button from Samsung assistive light widget.

Other Useful Flashlight Applications -
1 - Flashlight HD LED
2 - TeslaLED Flashlight
3 - Amazing Flashlight
4 - LED Flashlight + Clock

Next time you require an torch, cant find something in dark or can't see the deadbolt to open your frontdoor, start any of the applications noted above with one click widget to use the Android device as a spotlight/flashlight. Use flashlight with caution as it will lower battery life if used for long time.
